Efteling: The best time to visit

Efteling is the largest theme park in the Netherlands and one of the oldest theme parks in the world. It is twice as large as the original Disneyland park in California and antedates it by three years. Annually, the park has nearly 5 million visitors. In 2017, it was the third most visited theme park in Europe, behind Disneyland Paris and Europa-Park.

How to not waste time by waiting in lines (queue) ? Quite simply, you just have to plan your visit by choosing a favorable day.

YELLOW Day: the average waiting time to reach the park’s most popular attractions and rides is between 15 minutes and 5 minutes

Comparing our data forecasts to actual measures on the given day we can account for our forecasts' reliability: about 80 % of our forcasted days are the right color ; about 10 % of our forecasted days have a difference of one color; And only about 9 % of our forecasted days were more than one color apart from the actual measure of data traffic.
